In this episode Ibn Battuta, after several attempts, manages to convince his parents to allow him to travel. Here his journey begins, with his first trip taking him away from his hometown of Tangier to Tlemcen, and there he would meet a judge who was fond of Ibn Battuta’s passion for adventure and exploration. They form a convey and travel across the desert, with trying times and hardship awaiting them along this journey.
